Your guide to sustainable wellness

I’m so glad you’re here! With each newsletter you will receive easily digestible tips regarding fitness, exercise, nutrition, meal prep, and much more!
A healthy lifestyle that produces lasting results is 100% possible, and my goal is to show you how you can achieve just that…it’s probably simpler than you think. I’m here to teach you that wellness doesn’t have to be complicated or boring. You can be excited about moving and fueling your body in ways that are sustainable for your unique journey.
Today we’ll be chatting about how to stay active during the winter months. For many, colder temps and less daylight mean a dip in motivation to stay active. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Staying active during the colder months can be a game-changer for your physical and mental health. Here are some simple yet effective ways to keep moving, even when the temperatures drop.
Embrace indoor workouts : Whether it’s a home workout, yoga, or a dance class, there are countless options available online. You can break a sweat without stepping outside into the cold! If you’re looking for an effective at home workout program that won’t cost you a cent, I love Sydney Cumming’s workouts. Check out her YouTube channel here.
Consider winter sports : Activities like skiing, snowboarding, or ice skating are not only fun but also a fantastic way to get your heart pumping. Plus, they offer a unique way to enjoy the beauty of winter. These types of activities are perfect for groups, and being active with others adds a level of accountability to help you stay committed.
Don’t underestimate the power of a good walk : Bundle up and take a stroll in your neighborhood or a nearby park. Fresh air and movement can do wonders for your mood and energy levels. And if you’re not a fan of being out in the frozen tundra, there is no shame in being a mall walker – you get those steps in however is best for you!
Set realistic goals : Winter can be a challenging time, so focus on consistency rather than intensity. Even short workouts can add up and keep you on track. Remember, staying active is about finding what works for you. It’s not just about the physical benefits; it’s about nurturing your mental well-being too.
